Going Back to Work? Here’s What You Need to Know

Although everything is opening up after the first wave of COVID’19, it doesn’t mean that the threat is over and we are safe. If you are going back to work after the lockdown, then you have to keep it in mind that things are not going to be the same, and you’ll have to make sure that you adapt to the new normal.

If you have no idea how to start your life again after the lockdown, then this blog is just the thing that you need to read.

I’ve narrowed down some of the most important things that you need to keep in mind if you are going back to work after lockdown.

So, without any further ado, here you go:

You’ll have to Follow SOPs.

The first and the most important thing that you’ll have to do is to follow all the SOPs of the place. You’ll have to wear the mask all the time and make sure that you have all the PPE supplies with you. Understand that these SOPs are for your own protection, and even if you’ve recovered from the virus, the chances of getting attacked by the virus are always there. So, make sure that you are following all the protective measures to stay safe and protect the people around you.

You May Have to Work in Different Hours

Since social distancing is still important even if you have to work in the office now, therefore the chances are that you may have to work different hours than you used to. Different offices are dividing their employees into different work shifts so that social distancing can be maintained. So, don’t get surprised if your work-shift is different from what you used to work at. Again, you must know that it is for your own safety, and you have to make sure that you are complying with all the rules and regulations if you don’t want to catch the disease and infect your loved ones.

You’ll not be Able to Enjoy Lunch Breaks.

Let’s admit that lunch breaks used to be the most exciting part of the day at work. It was the only time of the day when you get to sit with your colleagues and have a cup of coffee and share gossip, right? Well, that’s going to change because having lunch together means that you’ll be breaking the rules of social distancing. Therefore, the chances are that your lunchrooms will be closed and you’ll have to have your lunch in your cabin all by yourself. I know it’s a little sad, but again, it is something the new normal of the world demands.

Hangouts with Your Colleagues will Not Happen.

Hanging out with your colleagues on Friday night used to be the highlight of the week for most of us, right? Well, the chances are that it is not going to happen either. You may face movement restriction by your workplace, and therefore, you may not be able to hang out freely with your colleagues and friends for that matter.

You May Get Paid a little Less.

We all know that the economies all around the world are struggling, and it may affect your salary as well. So, if you don’t know this already, you must know that you may get involved as well. It means that you may face salary cuts due to the global economic crunch.

All these things may sound a little disappointing at first, but it doesn’t mean that there is no hope. Scientists are working day is not far when everything will be back to normal.
